Mari Tampere-Bezrodny

MARI TAMPERE-BEZRODNY is a highly esteemed violinist and violin pedagogue, a professor at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, and a faculty member at the Tallinn Music and Ballet School as well as the Sibelius Academy.
She has performed solo concerts and as a featured soloist with renowned orchestras in over 30 countries (conductors E. Klas, E. Serov, P. Lilje, R. Matsov, L. Grin, and others). She has collaborated with world-famous musicians such as Igor Bezrodny, Mstislav Rostropovich, Dmitri Sitkovetski, among others, at numerous international festivals.
Throughout the years, she has had longstanding partnerships with pianists Bruno Lukk, Ivari Ilja, Risto Lauriala, and Aleksandra Juozapėnaitė. She has performed chamber music in various ensembles over the years.
Tampere-Bezrodny has premiered new works by Estonian and Russian composers both in her home country and abroad. In Estonia, she introduced Szymanowski's First Violin Concerto, Schumann's and Mendelssohn's D minor Violin Concertos, and Mozart's Concertone with Igor Bezrodny.
For over 30 years, she has conducted masterclasses in many countries (Spain, England, Israel, Italy, the USA, Scandinavian countries, France, China, etc.) and has served on the juries of various international competitions. Tampere-Bezrodny has also taught in Moscow and Spain.
Over the years, she has instructed more than 120 young violinists for extended periods, and many of her students have become laureates of international competitions. Her former students are employed in prominent orchestras around the world as section players, concertmasters, and educators.
