Linda-Anette Verte
LINDA-ANETTE VERTE started her violin studies at the age of 4 under Tiiu Peäske. In 2012, she graduated from Tallinn Music High School, where she studied in the violin class of Ivi Tivik and later Mari Tampere-Bezrodny. In 2016, Verte completed her bachelor's studies at the Sibelius Academy. Additionally, she enhanced her skills as an exchange student at the University of Southern California's Thornton School of Music in Los Angeles under Professor Pamela Frank. From 2016 to 2019, Verte was the concertmaster of the Vanemuine Symphony Orchestra.
She has participated in numerous festivals and competitions both in Estonia and abroad, achieving award-winning positions. In 2015, she won 2nd place and a special prize for Tõnu Kõrvits' piece "Eleegia üksindusele" in the Estonian String Players' Competition. That same year, along with pianist Sten Heinoja, she became the laureate of the Estonian Chamber Music Competition, receiving the Klassikaraadio award and the special prize for the best performance of Viennese classical music. Verte also participated in the television competition "Klassikatähed" (Classical Stars) in 2018.
She has performed as a soloist in Russia, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, the United States, Germany, and Ukraine, and has soloed with the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra, Vanemuine Symphony Orchestra, Pärnu City Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra of the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, Sibelius Academy Symphony Orchestra, Haapsalu Chamber Orchestra, Uue Tänava Orkester, and Kiev Soloists. She has collaborated with conductors such as Paul Mägi, Jüri Alperten, Mikk Murdvee, Kaspar Mänd, Atso Almila, Rasmus Puur, and Erki Pehk.
Verte has further honed her skills at numerous masterclasses, including those led by Michael Vaiman, Päivyt Meller, Anna-Liisa Bezrodny, Pavel Berman, Henry-David Varema, Oleg Krõssa, Oliver Charlier, Sergei Kravtšenko, Jessica Linnebach, Mi-kyung Lee, Cho-Liang Lin, and Midori Goto. During the 2015/2016 season, she served as an intern with the National Arts Center Orchestra in Canada. In 2017, Verte released a poetry book/CD featuring solo violin pieces, with interspersed recitations of poems by Harriet Toompere.
