Henri Sigfridsson is a Finnish pianist whose career has taken him from to concert halls in Central Europe and Asia.
He is performed at the Musikverein in Vienna, the Konzerthaus in Vienna, the Konzerthaus in Berlin and the Berlin Philharmonic, Berlin Konzerthaus, Leipzig Gewandhaus, Munich Philharmonic, Herkules-Saal and Prinzregententheater; Zurich Tonhalle, St. Petersburg Philharmonie, Cologne Philharmonie, Amsterdam Philharmonie Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Palais des Beaux Arts in Brussels, Philharmonie in Amsterdam, Concertgebouw in Paris Chatelet in Paris, Auditorio Nacional in Madrid, Sala Verdi in Milan, Tokyo's Bunka Kaikan, Kyoto and Osaka concert halls, and Shanghai, Nanjing, Hanzhou and Suzhou.
In America, Sigfridsson has been heard in New York, at the Ravinia Festival Chicago and the Kennedy Center in Washington DC. He has also performed at the has performed at almost all the main European music festivals (including the Salzburg, Lucerne, Warsaw, Gstaad, Prades Casals).
Sigfridsson has performed with many major European orchestras, including such as the Zurich Tonhalle Orchestra, the Musikkollegium Winterthur, Vienna RSO, St. Petersburg Philharmonic, MDR Orchestra Leipzig, Berlin Konzerthaus Orchestra, Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestre National de Lille, Weimarer Staatskapelle, Munich Symphony Orchestra, Camerata Academica Salzburg and Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra.
In Turkey he has performed in Izmir and Istanbul Istanbul Symphony Orchestra, in Korea as a soloist with the Wonju and Bucheon Philharmonic Orchestras in Bucheon and Bucheon. In Vietnam, he has been heard in the Hanoi Hanoi Philharmonic Orchestra.

Henri Sigfridsson's most notable competitive success was his first first prize at the Bonn Beethoven Competition in December 2005, where he also won the Audience Prize and the prize for the best Best Chamber Music Performance. In 2004, he came second to Maria Callas Grand Prix in Athens. Sigfridsson's other work other competition successes include first prize at the Weimar International Franz Liszt Piano Competition in 1994 and Nordic Soloist Competition 1995, as well as second place and second prize at the prestigious Géza Anda Competition in Zurich in the summer of 2000.
In 1996 Sigfridsson was Finland Festivals' Young Artist of the Year. artist of the year and the Dortmund Mozart Society chose him as artist of the year. for the 2001-02 season. Sigfridsson's chamber music partners include Gidon Kremer, Ivry Gitlis, Patricia Kopachinskaya, Misha Maisky, Alexander Rudin, Sol Gabetta, Boris Pergamenchikov, Johannes Moser, David Geringas, Hansjörg Schellenberg, Milan Turkovic, and Michel Lethiec. Henri Sigfridsson studied piano at the Turku Conservatory of Music, Sävy Nordgrén since 1985 and continued his studies in 1989 at the Sibelius Academy in 1989 as a student of Erik T. Tawaststjerna. From 1995 Sigfridsson studied at the Cologne Musikhochschule under Professor Pavel Gililov and from 1995-97 with Professor Pavel Gililov in Weimar, Germany. Weimar University of Music under Lazar Berman.
In addition to his solo career, Sigfridsson has worked in Turku since 1993. artistic director of the concert series at the Wäinö Aaltonen Museum in Turku and from 2013- 2017 as artistic director of the Korsholm Music Festival. Henri Sigfridsson is Professor of Piano at the prestigious Folkwang University in Essen since 2011.
He was a member of the Berlin Visiting Professor at the Hanns Eisler Music Academy in Berlin 2010- 2012 and 2008-2009 also Visiting Professor at the University of Graz. University of the Arts in Graz, Austria. Sigfridsson gives master classes regularly at many music academies in Europe, Japan, China and Korea. Since 2013 Sigfridsson has studied orchestral conducting with Jorma Panula, Atso Almila and the Panula Academy, and privately with Volker Schmidt-Gertenbach.
He has conducted Lappeenranna City Orchestra, Vaasa City Orchestra, among others, Kuopio City Orchestra, Seinäjoki Orchestra, Turku City Orchestra Orchestra of the Musical Society of Turku, Berliner Camerata Orchestra, Wonju Philharmonic Orchestra in Korea, Toyookan Festival Orchestra in Japan, Frosinone Orchestra in Italy, Lemberg Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Slovak Sinfonietta.
