Eneko Iriarte Velasco
/ clarinet
Eneko Iriarte is the principal clarinetist of the Vaasa City Orchestra (Finland) since 2018.
He also performs as a soloist, chamber player and orchestral musician at various venues in Europe, for example, as Het Concertgebouw (Amsterdam), Gran Teatre del Liceu de Barcelona, Stockholm ́s Konserthuset, Escorial de Madrid, Kursaal (San Sebastian). In 2009 Eneco Iriarte got the second prize with the Schumann Trio in the Chamber Music Competition in Castile-León, Spain.
Eneko Iriarte was born in Iruna (Spain) in 1987 and received his Bachelor's degree at the Musikene Higher Music School of the Basque Country, under the direction of José Luis Estelles (2011).
In Rotterdam, he graduates Master's degree in bass clarinet under the tutelage of Henri Bock at the Codarts University of the Arts. Iriarte was invited to the Academy of the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra (2017), where his tutors were clarinetists Herman Stefansson and Johan Fransen.
Iriarte has participated in several chamber music festivals such as Rusk 2020, Korsholm Music Festival (Finland), Piteå Summer Fest (Sweden), CNDM (Madrid), Musique a la Ferme (France) etc.
